Today our country finds itself involved in a war against terrorism. In Iraq our brave soldiers are fighting an enemy that seeks to return the world to an era of theocratic intimidation, persecution and intolerance. 

We believe that free librarians should recognize and appreciate the blessings of living in pluralistic societies built upon democratic principles. 

Common Iraqis are now engaging in what those in Cuba and North Korea can only imagine, the freedom to read. We believe that librarians should be the vanguard of this support.

Please consider joining us in showing full support for the policies of our current U.S. Administration and Allies around the world to liberate Iraq. Our vision of freedom is universal, not just a privilege for the fortunate.
